Wire Guard. These little findings look like horseshoes.
They are used to protect wire or thread at the end of a beaded piece by encasing the stringing material in a channel.
Simply put your needle through one of the round tube-like ends, over the channel and down though the other tube end and continue beading or finish off your thread.

Size: about 4x5mm. The tubes on either side measurements, .024″ hole (I put a 22 gauge wire through it easily)

While sealed for normal wear, man made items (which is mostly what I carry) are not completely waterproof and should not be worn when swimming, hot tubbing or bathing.
